Want to get out of the house and explore the city this Halloween season, then you have come to the right place!! I've done the hard work for you and have found all the great Halloween kid-friendly events going on this month. Also if you are like me and don't like being scared then stick around, these not so spooky events might just be for you!!
Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo
Grab your Halloween costumes, get your trick-or-treat bags, and head on over to Woodland Park Zoo to see animals of all kinds and enjoy a yummy pumpkin treat. This is all part of the zoo’s excellent animal enrichment care program. There is also trick-or-treating all around the zoo!!
The More You Know: During Pumpkin Bash, one child 12 years and under in costume is admitted to the zoo free with a paid adult admission.

Ride the Halloween Train
All aboard the Halloween Train. Get ready for a fun-filled two-hour train excursion that takes you all through the Snoqualmie Valley. Once you reach the top of Snoqualmie Falls and enjoy the view, you get to return to the Railway History Center for a 30-minute stopover that includes other seasonal activities. Come in costume because you might even get a prize!
Tickets are required.

Hoot ‘n’ Howl
Head on over to Northwest Trek and explore the park at night! Walk the animal paths, lit with spooky lights, and visit multiple trick-or-treat stations. Pretend to be a nocturnal animal and enjoy Hoot ‘n’ Howl.

Annual Halloween Children’s Concert
Dress up and have fun with the Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra at the annual Halloween Children’s Concert. It’s great for all ages but especially for young children and anyone who has any sensory sensitivities. (Yes!!) Take this opportunity to introduce live music to your child, and practice being audience members in this kid friendly environment.

Have a Hoot on Bainbridge Island
Head on over to the Bloedel Reserve and see how many squash and pumpkins you can find. Woodland owls will take you on a scavenger hunt through the gardens in search of gourds, squash and pumpkins. Once you are finished try and guess the weight of this year’s largest pumpkin and win prizes at the Shop at the Gatehouse when you complete your scavenger hunt. This is fun for all ages!!

Zoo Boo at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
Have a happy howl-o-ween at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium’s Halloween-themed weekend. Enjoy some ghostly games where you can guess which skull belongs to which animal, who makes that sound, and what does that oversized pumpkin actually weigh? There is also a costume parade at the Wild Wonders Outdoor Theater (it starts at noon). Costumes are encouraged for everyone!
